A wood saw blade here acts as a visual metaphor for the human desire to rework the world we live in and the cycle of destruction leading to creation and renaissance, which in turn leads again to destruction etc. But, ultimately, it hints at our own mortality as the blade is blunted and the wheel eventually stops spinning.
